We asked Northwest Catholic readers: What’s your favorite Catholic podcast or radio show? Here are some of their answers!

“Saint Stories for Kids” or “Saints Alive.” We listen on our way to school. They are geared toward kids, but I never hear an episode (sometimes for the 100th time) without gaining something for myself.

— Caroline Saty (and kids) St. John the Evangelist, Vancouver

“Abiding Together.”  I always find myself connecting with Sister Miriam, Michelle Benzinger and Heather Khym and their life experiences, especially when it comes to womanhood and being sisters in Christ. Father Mike Schmitz’s “Bible in a Year” and “Catechism in a Year.” Father Mike has a youthful energy that is entertaining. The nature of his podcasts makes it easy to listen to as they are typically 20 minutes or less. I was never a student of the Bible or the catechism, so I’m learning.

— Emmy Libecki St. Lawrence, Raymond

“Jimmy Akin’s Mysterious World.” He talks about “out there” topics (aliens, parapsychology, etc.) and analyzes  them using faith and reason.

— Deborah Campbell Adams Sacred Heart, Battle Ground

— Paul Kent St. Joseph, Issaquah

“Pints with Aquinas.” It has a broad range of topics for today and great spiritual reflections by Mother Natalia and Father Gregory Pine.

—Walter Bogaardt Holy Trinity, Bremerton

“Called to Communion” on Sacred Heart Radio. Dr. David Anders answers questions in such a kind, helpful way. His example encourages me to learn more about the Catholic faith and think about how I can answer questions about being Catholic in a way that exudes the light of Christ.

— Rebecca Anderson Holy Rosary, Edmonds
